PRECISION INDICATORS — NINJATRADER 8 SETUP CHECKLIST Version: September 23, 2026 Free reference: https://precisionindicators.com/install/ Purpose: record a repeatable software setup and test it in simulation. This is not a trading strategy, signal, or recommendation to place an order. Never record passwords, license keys or brokerage credentials on this sheet. SETUP RECORD Date: __________________ NinjaTrader version: __________________ Indicator and version: __________________________________________ Data connection: __________________ Chart instrument: __________ Bar type / interval: _______________ Trading-hours template: ____ Platform time zone: ________________ Calendar time zone: ________ A. BEFORE IMPORT [ ] Confirm this is NinjaTrader Desktop 8 and check the add-on's requirements. [ ] Download from the official product/account page; keep the ZIP intact. [ ] Save the current workspace and record settings before changing them. [ ] Select a simulation workspace for installation and behavior checks. [ ] Close or manage any live workflow yourself before platform maintenance. B. IMPORT AND ACTIVATE [ ] Use Control Center > Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-On. [ ] Select the downloaded ZIP. Do not manually unpack it for this process. [ ] Read the result. If there is an import error, record its exact wording. [ ] Restart NinjaTrader when the product instructions require it. [ ] Add the indicator to the intended chart and verify it appears. [ ] Follow the product's activation process; never share the key publicly. [ ] Save the workspace after confirming the setup. C. DATA AND CHART CHECK [ ] Verify instrument, bar type, interval and session template. [ ] Check the data feed is connected and the relevant session is active. [ ] Review historical-data and Tick Replay requirements for the feature used. [ ] Verify text/panels remain legible at the normal chart size. [ ] In Replay, check behavior using the actual replay clock and speed. D. NEWS ALERT CHECK [ ] Compare one known scheduled event against its original publisher. [ ] Confirm date, time zone and daylight-saving interpretation. [ ] Review country/currency and impact filters; note the source/provider. [ ] Distinguish upcoming-event warnings from newly received headlines. [ ] Check refresh/polling settings. A polled feed is not instant delivery. [ ] Test visual/audio alerts without placing a trade. [ ] Note that alerts do not automatically block orders or eliminate risk. E. TIMER AND SIGNAL CHECK [ ] Use a supported time-based chart when evaluating a candle countdown. [ ] Do not assume tick/volume bars have a fixed time remaining. [ ] Observe several bar boundaries and check disconnected-feed behavior. [ ] For signals, record when the signal becomes final and what it measures. [ ] Separate a condition score from a probability of profit. [ ] Separate drawn stop/target lines from actual working orders. [ ] Label screenshots as simulation, Replay or live as applicable. F. TROUBLESHOOTING RECORD Expected behavior: ______________________________________________ Observed behavior and exact error: ______________________________ Time / time zone: _______________________________________________ Steps that reproduce it: ________________________________________ Data or connection interruption: ________________________________ Settings changed since last working setup: ______________________ Before contacting support, remove account numbers, keys and other private information from screenshots. Include the platform/add-on version, chart type, data connection, exact error and reproducible steps.
